Carne en Chipotle Recipe.

This is how I make Carne Picada with Chipotle sauce and I like to serve it with rice.

Carne in Chipotle Sauce.


  • 4 lbs of Thin Cut Beef Sirloin ( Milanesa de Res)

  • 3 potatoes

  • Half a can of Chipotle Peppers in adobo sauce.( I recommend using La Morena brand)

  • Half a can Tomato sauce

  • Oil

  • Salt

  • Garlic Salt

  • Water


  1. Cut the Meat into small squares and put it in a bowl with water to wash off the blood in the meat and rinse off the water.

  2. In a cooking pan add 1/2 tsp of cooking oil of your choice and turn on heat to medium.

  3. Once the oil is hot enough add the meat to the pan. Add 1/8 tsp of garlic salt and 1/2 tsp of salt, mix good with the meat. Cover the meat stirring occasionally.

4. Wash the potatoes, peel them and dice them.

5. When the meat is mostly brown add the diced potatoes mix with the meat and cover it again.Stirring occasionally.

6. While the meat is still cooking, in a blender add the tomato sauce, chipotle and half cup of water and blend good.

7. Once it's all blended together add it to the meat, add half cup of water to the blender shake it removing what's left of the sauce and pour it into the meat.

8.Cover it again lower the heat a little bit and let it boil until the potatoes are soft (check once in a while with a fork). Once the potatoes are soft and ready turn off heat and enjoy.
